Eating well on a limited budget can be tough. If you’re anything like me, most of your meals are this weird meal where you fry potatoes, onions, peppers, and eggs into this weird messy omelette thing that doesn’t exactly taste very interesting. However, Ottawa has tons of great places to eat for cheap! Here are three- you’re welcome.

Cosmos Souvlaki - 196 Greenbank Road

On their website, Cosmos say they strive to serve the best possible Greek food at the lowest possible price. An admirable goal! Their plates are affordable and you get a ton of high quality food. It’s popular though, naturally, plan your visits carefully if you don’t want to wait in line.

El Furniture Warehouse - 77 Clarence Street

Oh hell yeah! El Furniture Warehouse is divey as hell, but everything there is $5 and it’s open until 2 in the morning every day of the week. Also, the servers are really nice, and the atmosphere is pretty good if you don’t mind the noise.

Red Apron - 564 Gladstone Avenue

Open every day except Saturday, Red Apron is sweet because it has got a bunch of delicious, affordable frozen meals and stuff you can make yourself at home. They’ve got all kinds of good, healthy stuff including great soups.
